meet dr. steinbicker

Dr. Eric Steinbicker was born and raised in Mebane, NC. He has always dreamed of the day he could return and help the very people that enabled him to get to where he is today. He has a great passion for the Mebane and surrounding Alamance County area where he grew up studying, fishing, hiking and playing. His goal is to have a positive impact on as many children and adults in the area as he can by providing them with the tools, education, and assistance to obtain a healthy and beautiful smile. Not only that, Dr. Steinbicker wants to give back to the community at large through community service and by continuing to form personal relationships, which he holds as one of the most important values in life.

Dr. Eric graduated in the top three of his class from Eastern Alamance High School. He then went on to receive his BS in Biology and Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill and later his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree also from UNC. During the summers before and after undergraduate school, he traveled with his siblings to Yellowstone National Park in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho where he worked as a prep cook and chef for a local restaurant. In his spare time there, he fly fished for trout, and camped and hiked more than 500 miles of backcountry wilderness. While in undergraduate school he was a walk-on for the UNC Men's JV basketball team under head coaches Dave Hanners, Pat Sullivan, and Phil Ford. He had the opportunity to meet and play with basketball stars Vince Carter, Shammond Williams, Ed Cota, Joe Forte, Jason Capel, and Jason Williams, to name a few. Dr. Eric loves animals and has two golden retrievers and a Yorkshire terrier.
